Congressional Research Agency Confirms Illegal Aliens Will Get Health Benefits Under House Bill
Thursday, September 3rd, 2009Last Tuesday, the Congressional Research Service (CRS), which is the non-partisan “research arm” of the United States Congress, issued a report that concludes that illegal aliens will be able to receive benefits under the House health care bill (H.R. 3200) through two major loopholes. (See CRS Report and FAIR Press Release, August 26, 2009).
According to its own website, CRS is a legislative branch agency that provides Congress with “policy and legal analysis” that is authoritative, objective and accurate. (CRS website). The latest CRS report validates what FAIR has been saying for the past month and a half — that illegal aliens will be able to receive taxpayer-funded health benefits under the House health care bill. (See FAIR’s Legislative Updates, July 20, 2009; July 27, 2009 and August 3, 2009).
The House bill creates an “exchange” and “all individuals,” which would include illegal aliens, are eligible to participate in the exchange. Anyone who participates in the exchange, and does not otherwise have health insurance, can either enroll in the public option plan created by the House bill or enroll in a private insurance plan. Accordingly, the first loophole that provides illegal aliens with health insurance is the ability for illegal aliens to freely enroll in the taxpayer-subsidized public option. According to CRS, “H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens — whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently — from participating in the Exchange.” (CRS Report). Accordingly, illegal aliens can enroll in the public option, courtesy of the American taxpayers, to meet their health insurance needs. (See CNN.com, August 2009).

Obama hints at amnesty for illegal immigrants
Saturday, June 27th, 2009Obama hints at amnesty for illegal immigrants
Phoenix Business Journal – by Mike Sunnucks
President Barack Obama stayed away from hot-button words in remarks Thursday on immigration reform, but hinted that his immigration push will include some kind of “amnesty” or “legal path” for illegal immigrants already in the U.S.
He also praised U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who was at a White House meeting on the issue and has supported a legal path for undocumented immigrants and a guest worker program.
“What’s also been acknowledged is that the 12 million or so undocumented workers are here — who are not paying taxes in the ways that we’d like them to be paying taxes, who are living in the shadows, that is a group that we have to deal with in a practical, common-sense way,” Obama said after the meeting. “And I think the American people are ready for us to do so. But it’s going to require some heavy lifting, it’s going to require a victory of practicality and common sense and good policy making over short-term politics. That’s what I’m committed to doing as president.”
On his former campaign foe, he said: “I want to especially commend John McCain, who’s with me today, because along with folks like Lindsey Graham, he has already paid a significant political cost for doing the right thing. I stand with him.”
Obama also said Thursday he is making U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano a key point person on the immigration reform push. As Arizona’s former governor, Napolitano signed an employer sanctions bill into law and backed deployment of National Guard troops along the Arizona-Mexico border. She, however, was skeptical about a border wall and flirted with the idea of allowing illegal immigrants to obtain drivers licenses.

Normally I am a fun loving joking, good humored guy….. but I go to tell you McCain’s position makes me sick. I am tired of everyone when discussing McCain talks about his POW experience. They always try to use that as an excuse for policy decisions. He is a Liberal! Being a POW has nothing to do with his political position. He looks like a spanked puppy whenever he is in public with Obama. He is not a conservative nor much of a moderate Republican. Yeah, thanks for your support John.
Obama says 12 million but the number is much closer to 20 million. Besides the 20 million new voters the will get the the public gets a bonus, They get poor education for our children, over crowded prisions, higher taxes, and continued over worked hospital emergency care.
Study: Immigration duties undermine police role…….of what? Keeping citizens safe?
Friday, May 22nd, 2009PHOENIX (Reuters)
Reporting by Tim Gaynor, Editing by Paul Simao
A U.S. government program empowering local police officers to enforce immigration laws undermines their efforts to maintain public safety, according to a report released on Wednesday.
Around 11.9 million mostly Hispanic illegal immigrants live and work in the United States, and Americans are sharply divided over what to do with them.
The report by the nonpartisan Police Foundation criticized aspects of the 287 (g) program run by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which deputizes officers from local police agencies to enforce immigration laws.
The study, drawing on input from focus groups and police and community representatives, argued that the program created mistrust between local police and immigrant communities.
“The cornerstone of the police operation is public safety, and that is eroded significantly when people are afraid of the police,” Hubert Williams, the president of the Police Foundation, said by telephone.
“Immigration enforcement (by local agencies) … has simply caused people to run and hide. They won’t talk to the police,” he added.

Gee I wonder why the illegal immigrants distrust the police? Could it be because of the word illegal? If they were not here and if we did not have to deal with their crime, the border states jails populations would be reduced by over 30% and our police force could go back to enforcing laws and investigating our home grown crimes. The Police Foundation could go back to mapping crime areas and get out of politics. Not to mention that the state budgets that have been in the news so much of late would be much closer to being balanced.
If Obama or any other politician wants my vote move the illegals out of our country and do away with Anchor Baby laws.

It is past time that our government start listening to it’s citizens. We don’t want Illegals in our country period. That does not mean we are unreasonable. We understand there is a need or a guest worker program, they key being “guest worker”. We do not want their children to be considered Citizens of the US when the parents are here illegally or on a guest visa. We do not want to provide Free health care, education or government assistance. We are not mean, hateful or uncaring….. we simply cannot afford it any longer. If you don’t believe me ask someone living in CA.
