Health Care Anger Has Deeper Roots

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

WASHINGTON — Recent town-hall uproars weren’t just about health care. They were also eruptions of concern that the government is taking on too much at once.

That suggests trouble for the president and his party, and fears of losses in next year’s midterm election are likely to shape the Democrats’ fall agenda.

At August’s town-hall meetings, voters often started with complaints about health care, only to shift to frustrations about all the other things President Barack Obama and the Democrats have done or tried to do since January. The $787 billion economic-stimulus package, the government-led rescue of General Motors Corp. and climate-change legislation all came in for criticism.

“A lot of the anxiety we face here has less to do with health care and everything to do with the overall state of the economy and government,” said Rep. Anthony Weiner, a New York Democrat.

“I have seen a level of dissatisfaction and even anger that I haven’t experienced in the years that I’ve been a member of Congress,” Sen. John McCain, an Arizona Republican, told an audience at a health-care meeting in Kansas City on Monday.

As we continue to say…..It’s not just about health care.  It’s about the government trying to control every aspect of our lives.

Bill Clinton and Al Gore in Tennessee talking Health Care

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Bill Clinton and Al Gore were speakers at a political rally in Tennessee.  I do not believe that health care was the message at this rally as the media reported.  Both Bill and Al both said the words health care but that wasn’t the real topic. As always, Al was trolling for backing for his Cap and Trade legislation

Together Again

but Bill wanted to accomplish 2 very specific things with his speech. First, stay loyal to the party, and trust the government we know what’s best for you ( Besides, Hilary may still get a shot at the White House, yet). And second, only a poor brainwashed, scared individual, would not agree with the government. You we need to feel sorry for the poor, confused, and scared tea party protesters.

Here are some quotes from  his remarks.

“You need to back these congressmen and let them know you’re not going to let them be steamrollered by a bunch of people who have been frightened,”

“We need to pass a bill this year. Doing nothing is not only the worst thing we can do for the economy, it’s the worst thing we can do for the country. It’s also the worst thing we can do for the Democrats. Democrats, you stay in there with your congressmen and you get this done.”

“I don’t think all these people are coming to these town meetings raising cain with your congressman in bad faith. I think they’ve had the daylights scared out of them. And I get it,”

Sorry Bill, you don’t get it, Big Al doesn’t get it and neither do the rest of the Democrats. The people are coming to the town halls and making their voices heard, because they do not want the country, their country, pushed any further to the left. The do no want the country, their country, placed any further into debt to help an administration redistribute the wealth. They do not want to see the country, their country, having anymore back door deals given to “political friends” of the Federal Reserve. They do not want to see the country, their county, infrastructure being stripped and owned by a power hungry, socialist government.

But I realized, even before the ink was dry on the paper, my words would never change anything for the die hard liberals and for that matter most politicians that have held elected office. Government should be the last stop for people needing a helping hand……..not the first and only stop.

Gore, most known of late, for his country crippling, Cap and Trade legislation and almost nothing else, was a bit more passionate but much less believable as he closed with this remark.

The Country, “has a moral duty to pass health care reform. This year.”

Moral Duty? Give me a break………Well, at least it wasn’t Clinton, talking about moral duties.

Cap and Trade Explained and Exposed

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Below is a simple explanation of what Cap and Trade is.  It removes all of the administration propaganda and cuts to the heart of what is involved in a “Cap and Trade System”.

Emissions trading (or emission trading) is an administrative approach used to control pollution by providing economic incentives for achieving reductions in the emissions of pollutants. It is sometimes called cap and trade.

A central authority (usually a government or international body) sets a limit or cap on the amount of a pollutant that can be emitted. Companies or other groups are issued emission permits and are required to hold an equivalent number of allowances (or credits) which represent the right to emit a specific amount. The total amount of allowances and credits cannot exceed the cap, limiting total emissions to that level. Companies that need to increase their emission allowance must buy credits from those who pollute less. The transfer of allowances is referred to as a trade. In effect, the buyer is paying a charge for polluting, while the seller is being rewarded for having reduced emissions by more than was needed. Thus, in theory, those who can easily reduce emissions most cheaply will do so, achieving the pollution reduction at the lowest possible cost to society.

Face Fwd Comments:

After researching the topic for several days, I am convinced that Cap and Trade will not only increase pollutants by allowing companies to simply buy the right to pollute, it will increase the amount we pay for energy and manufactured goods and further destroy our economy.  Can anyone honestly read the description above and say, “pollution will drop with this plan”?

No sane person wants to live in a world full of toxic waste.  I happened to have gown up in Los Angeles and now live in Houston so I understand what dirty air is all about.  I want clean air.  I want clean water.  However, I can find nothing in this bill that will soon be before the Senate that will provide that to me.  We already have environmental laws, why not just enforce what we already have? Why? Because the people that are pushing this bill are not friends of the environment as they pretend to be.

The people that are pushing this bill want to enslave the people of America by reducing the freedoms, capturing the economy, and owning the major manufacturing sector (look out aircraft).  Obama, Reed, Pelosi, Gore and the others will use this bill to dictate to companies what they can and cannot do and to fund the outlandish spending proposals before our elected representatives right now.

Each one of them have their own reasons for pushing the bill so hard.  Reed and Pelosi are after the power, Gore wants the money and recognition, not to mention retribution for the loss of an election.  But Obama is the scary one.  He has told the world that the US is an arrogant nation.  He has bowed down before Saudi Princes, he has embraced terrorist nations while denouncing our country’s major religion and he has buddied up to communist governments in Latin America.  All of these organizations have one thing in common, they hate our country and wish us harm.  While Obama has never said it in words, his actions say it loud and clear, “America, you have had it too good for to long and now it is time to bring you down to size and it is my destiny to do it.”

Don’t let Obama and the liberal administration take another step in repealing our freedoms. The Cap and Trade legislation is based on false science and is intended capture more of our liberty.   Stand up and say no.  Call, email and most importantly FAX your Senator and tell him/her “enough is enough and to vote no on the pending legislation.

Faced is glad to be back in the saddle after being down with the flu for almost a week.

Global Warming Support Thawing as Politicians Feel the Heat

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Associated Press

Steve Fielding recently asked the Obama administration to reassure him on the science of man-made global warming. When the administration proved unhelpful, Mr. Fielding decided to vote against climate-change legislation.

If you haven’t heard of this politician, it’s because he’s a member of the Australian Senate. As the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to pass a climate-change bill, the Australian Parliament is preparing to kill its own country’s carbon-emissions scheme. Why? A growing number of Australian politicians, scientists and citizens once again doubt the science of human-caused global warming.

Among the many reasons President Barack Obama and the Democratic majority are so intent on quickly jamming a cap-and-trade system through Congress is because the global warming tide is again shifting. It turns out Al Gore and the United Nations (with an assist from the media), did a little too vociferous a job smearing anyone who disagreed with them as “deniers.” The backlash has brought the scientific debate roaring back to life in Australia, Europe, Japan and even, if less reported, the U.S.

In April, the Polish Academy of Sciences published a document challenging man-made global warming. In the Czech Republic, where President Vaclav Klaus remains a leading skeptic, today only 11% of the population believes humans play a role. In France, President Nicolas Sarkozy wants to tap Claude Allegre to lead the country’s new ministry of industry and innovation. Twenty years ago Mr. Allegre was among the first to trill about man-made global warming, but the geochemist has since recanted. New Zealand last year elected a new government, which immediately suspended the country’s weeks-old cap-and-trade program.
